LITERARY PRIZE WORDS IN THE SOUTHEAST

LITERARY PRIZE FOR WRITERS AND POETS "WORDS IN THE SOUTHEAST"

CF EDITORE by Federico Calafati, announces the First Edition of the National and International Literary Prize for Poetry and Fiction - Words in the Southeast , with the aim of fostering the dissemination of fiction and poetry and finding the new promises of the international literary scene. The following call for entries, allows and promotes the participation of  writers and poets from all over the world.

The Contest is open to all and is divided into 4 sections:


Section A) - Unpublished Short Stories.


For Section A), a short story of up to 50,000 words in pdf format, free theme, is to be submitted.


Section B) - Unpublished Novels


For Section B) one competes by sending an unpublished novel. Each text must not be less than 50,000 and more than 250,000 words in length, in pdf format, free theme.


Section C) - Unpublished Poetry


For section C) one competes by sending TWO unpublished poems, even if already awarded, with free theme, in Italian language. Each text must be no longer than 30 lines, and must be in pdf format, free theme.


Section D) - Short stories or poems set in Salento.



For Section D) there is the submission of a short story for a maximum of 50,000 words in pdf format, free themed and set in Salento, or two poems no longer than 30 verses, in pdf format, free themed and set in Salento.


The works will be delivered to the Jury anonymously in order to ensure their free judgment. The works will be evaluated by the unquestionable and unappealable judgment of the Jury, composed of representatives from the world of literature, teaching, journalism and culture

Section C: Unpublished Poetry

1st Prize Publication of a Sylloge of at least forty poems by the author in ebook and print

on demand format and translation into Italian and Spanish with publication in ebook and print on demand, Trophy and Parchment with Jury Motivation

2nd Prize Plaque and Parchment

3rd Prize Plaque and Parchment


Section D: Short stories or poems set in Salento, published or unpublished

1st Prize Publication in ebook and print on demand and translation into English and

Spanish with ebook publication, Trophy and Parchment with Jury Motivation

2nd Prize Plaque and Parchment

3rd Prize Plaque and Parchment


Winners will receive a Percentage Publication Proposal from CF EDITORE.

Jury Honorable Mentions are provided Scrolls with Motivation and the Jury President's Award is

provided Plaque and Parchment with Motivation.

An Influencer Award will also be given, awarded by a panel of Influencers related to the world of

literature.

Award recipients and nominees will be notified by email or phone in time to attend the award

ceremony.

Prizes will be delivered personally or to one's proxy; they will not be mailed.

Participants in the Short Stories and Poems section, may receive a proposal for publication related

to the realization of an Anthology Collection.

CF EDITORE reserves the right to make a Publication Proposal to authors who have distinguished

themselves during the Literary Prize.

SUBMISSION DEADLINES

Works must be strictly submitted by midnight on 04/28/2025, unless extended.
